Yesterday I was about to visit my blog and write something but i got stocked on watching America's Next Top Model. I started watching cycle 12 but what was uploaded on Youtube was only until 6th episode. Since I wasn't doing much here at the office I decided to watch it from cycle 1 and now I'm on cycle 3. Since I started watching ANTM i have lost interest in watching 24, and maybe one reason also i lost interest is because of my husband, we watch 24 everynight like 2-3 episode and after that we go to sleep as i have to wake up early. Well, the next thing I knew was, he is 3 episodes ahead of me. So I let him watch 24 and maybe this saturday I will catch up where I left. Now he is like 8 episodes ahead of me. Now i have to end this and start watching, LOL.

Chillax. Peace

Good morning. It's monday again, back to work. I'm already here at work. The women who clean and make coffee for the firm every morning is not here. She won't be present for the next two weeks, that means we have to do some chores of her chores while she's out. And in this case, i just water the plants and made a coffee. It's not the first time that i made coffee for them but they surely didn't like it (LOL). I'm not a coffee drinker, actually i don't drink coffee but i know how to make one but not their kind of coffee, (hahaha). it will only be two things, either the coffee i made is too sweet ot too strong which both means it sucks. Anyway enough of the coffee stuff.

Just now, before i started writing this i opened firefox and continue the game i was playing last friday. I'm guessing that this day will be the same as before, boring. It's all good, it's fine as long as i have a job (what's my jobe? play online, watch youtube and be on YM all day, haha).

Well nothing more to say here. Have a nice day. Chillax. Peace.

Earth Hour 2009

This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.

Willard Wigan MBE

Born in 1957 in Birmingham, Willard Wigan began his artistic life at a tender age. Suffering from dyslexia and learning difficulties, he struggled at school, finding solace in creating art of such minute proportions that it virtually could not be seen with the naked eye.

“It began when I was five years old,” says Willard. “I started making houses for ants because I thought they needed somewhere to live. Then I made them shoes and hats. It was a fantasy world I escaped to where my dyslexia didn’t hold me back and my teachers couldn’t criticise me. That’s how my career as a micro-sculptor began.”

Willard’s micro-sculptures have become so minute that they are only visible through a microscope. Each piece commonly sits within the eye of a needle, or on a pin head.

The personal sacrifice involved in creating such wondrous, yet scarcely believable, pieces is inconceivable to most. Willard enters a meditative state in which his heartbeat is slowed, allowing him to reduce hand tremors and sculpt between pulse beats. Even the reverberation caused by traffic outside can affect Willard’s work. He often works through the night when there is minimal disruption.

Willard was subsequently honoured with receiving an MBE from HRH Prince Charles for his services to art.

Highlights of Feb.

February is the second month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It is the shortest month and the only month with fewer than 30 days. The month has 29 days in leap years, when the year number is divisible by four (except for years that are divisible by 100 and not by 400 in the Gregorian calendar). In common years the month has 28 days.

February starts on the same day of the week as both March and November in common years, and August in leap years.

Having only 28 days in common years, it is the only month of the year that can pass without a single full moon. It is also the only month of the calendar that once every six years and twice every 11 years, will have only four full 7-day weeks. Where the first day of the month starts on a Sunday and the last day ends on a Saturday.

So now, let's see the highlights of my February 2009.

February 06, my birthday.

It was the first time that I celebrated my birthday here in Romania. Also it was the first time that I, myself did not cook anything for my birthday, ate arlin cooked for me though, thanks.

My birthday fell on a friday so I celebrated at the office with my colleagues, shared pizza and sushi (maki). The firm gave me a nice present, they call it "ie" it's a Romanian traditional clothe. Also on this day I received samurai's from my good friends, so I became a Ninja.

13th of February (friday the 13th), me and my husband watched the band 'No Use For A Name' at Club Fabrica.

We both had fun, kicking people (LOL). We are in the front row, I mean literally front where I can extend my arms put a little extra effort and get a guitar pick from the vocalist's microphone. We'll I did manage to get one for my husband.

After the GIG, 14th of February is Valentines Day. I don't really have something for valentines day, for me it's just an ordinary day like waking up, go to work then go home. But, what a surprise. My husband is bringing flowers for me when he got home. We've been together for 3 years and this is the first time he gave me flowers on a valentines day (well, I think this is the first time that he gave me flowers, hahaha). So sweet. It's like I almost wanted to sleep with the flowers beside me. ;)

February 19th, it was 5AM. We are awakened by a noise. It's like someone or something big fell. Few seconds after the noise ate arlin started to call me and my husband. I stood up fast, opened the door room and first thing I saw was my father-in-law lying on the ground with eyes open but he's not moving. We carried him to his bed, I was trying to talk to him, asking if he can hear me or see me but he's not responding. He was unconsious. Then after a 20-30 he blinked cleared his throat, asking us what happened.

We are very nervous and everything we don't know what to do incase he stays unconcious for couple of minutes.

27th of February, we went to Sinaia.

Together with few BDR colleagues, we went to Sinaia for a project. We left at the office around 1:30pm, starving. So, first thing we did is we stopped at Mc' Donalds (for free c/o BDR) to grab something to eat because it will be like almost 3hrs travel time.

We arrived at the place just in time but we had to wait, the clients had a little adjustments on their time. When everything was done, we again hit the road lookin for TAVERNA, a restaurant. We've been going back and forth searching for the place, at long last after maybe 10-15 mins we found the place. It was at the end of no where. But it's all good, food was, the place was nice and again c/o BDR firm. Eating for free is always good (LOL).

Well, that was my February.

I am not really a big fan of Guess itself, but I love their advertisements. Sophisticated. Feminine. Unapologetically sexy.

Here are few advertisements that I like.

Latte Art

Last night I got bored waiting for my husband so, I went to the nearest coffee shop they have where he's working. By the time that I entered the shop and start looking for the menu a personnel helped me with picking what I will order. I asked for a frappe and he recommended the "best seller (he said)" they have. Then I ordered that best seller frappe without knowing how much. As I took a sit, I checked on the price it costs 25Ron (way more expensive that Starbucks). I have thought maybe they make very very very good coffee, for it to have that huge price. It was already served it looked very nice. But........ I was like wt****......

That's why I have thought of showing you some nice latte art. This doesn't mean that every coffee which looks great are disappointing, it's just that sometimes looks can be deceiving.

Latte Art is a style of pouring steamed milk into a shot of espresso that creates a pattern or design on the surface of the resulting latte. It can also be created or embellished by simply “drawing” in the top layer of foam. Latte art is particularly difficult to create consistently, due to the demanding conditions required of both the espresso shot and milk. This, in turn, is limited by the experience of the barista and quality of the espresso machine. The pour itself, then, becomes the last challenge for the latte artist.

The most common form of poured latte art is known as the "rosetta,” and resembles a type of flower.
